The Independence Square is another tourist attraction found at Basseterre at Saint Kitts and Nevis Federation. It was initially built during the 1700s for council meetings and slave auctions. In 1983, the place became a site to commemorate the independence of Saint Kitts and Nevis Federation from Great Britain. Today, the square is a place worthy of sightseeing. It has lots of places for outings, promenaders, and other gatherings. The Independence Square is adorned with a large central fountain.

Clay Villa Plantation House and Gardens is a vast property situated in the city of Basseterre, the capital of Saint Kitts and Nevis Federation. Constructed in 1763, Clay Villa Plantation House and Gardens is the only property which stayed a free working estate when other plantations around Saint Kitts gained more profit due to the slave trade. 10. Fothergills Nevisian Heritage Village (Nevis)

It was a project of the Ministry of Tourism to recreate the history of the islands by building various forms of housing which have existed over different eras.
