I still want to eat bibimbap after all! 4 recommended restaurants around Seomyeon, Busan
1. Bubu Restaurant (Bubu Sikdang)
At Bubu Sikdang, you can enjoy every menu item for just 5,000 won! Moreover, since it’s located in Seomyeon, where there are many business people and young customers, the portions of rice are particularly generous so everyone leaves satisfied. As a typical Korean diner, they offer a wide variety of dishes—from bibimbap to kimchi jjigae, galbitang, and doenjang jjigae. You could eat here every day and never get bored thanks to the diverse menu.
The staff are very kind, and the owner may even use an iPad to translate for you! Since they serve most basic Korean dishes, you can also show a guidebook to place your order.
2. Haedong Haemultang
Located just about 30 seconds on foot from the Lotte Hotel, Haedong Haemultang is a seafood restaurant loved not only by tourists but also by local guides and taxi drivers. From 7 a.m., as soon as it opens, the restaurant fills up with people coming to eat Busan’s famous abalone porridge.
Alongside that abalone porridge, the stone pot bibimbap is also very popular. The aroma of sesame oil is irresistibly appetizing. What’s great is that the gochujang (red chili paste) is served separately, so you can adjust the spiciness to your liking. The stone pot bibimbap, filled with plenty of ingredients and beautifully colorful, is best enjoyed Korean-style—mix it all well with the gochujang before eating!

3. Woojeong
Woojeong is a bibimbap specialty chain restaurant. It originally started as a small shop run by a family matriarch, which later expanded through family franchising. Now, it’s one of the first names that comes to mind when you think of bibimbap in Busan! The secret to its popularity is its incredible affordability—the prices have hardly changed since the store first opened, making it easy for even students to dine here.
The stone pot bibimbap arrives sizzling and crackling deliciously, topped with colorful vegetables and a perfectly soft sunny-side-up egg. Add some of the owner’s homemade gochujang, mix it well, and dig in! The spacious and very clean interior also makes this a great choice for women and solo diners.

4. The Bibinche
“The Bibinche,” immensely popular among women, is a stylish restaurant that doesn’t even look like a bibimbap shop. It’s so cute and trendy that many first-time visitors mistake it for a café!
As a bibimbap specialty restaurant, the menu is impressively varied. They serve everything from classic bibimbap with namul (seasoned vegetables) to bulgogi bibimbap loaded with meat, and Busan-style seafood bibimbap unique to the region. The inclusion of soup and appetizers with the meal is another point that makes it particularly appealing to women.
