Krabi is a resort town with many islands in the Andaman coast. Some of the greatest experiences can be lived in this town that is lined with limestone karsts and mangrove forests. 1. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea)

Tiger Cave Temple is not only a worship complex in Krabi but also a site where some Buddha remains have been excavated such as stone tools and pottery remains. The site has a series of natural caves located in an overgrown valley making it a natural wonder. The temple got its name from a legendary story that claimed tiger once resided in the caves hence the name it was given. While at the caves, you should make it a point to go sightseeing the footprint of the Buddha. You need to be physically fit however since it will take you over 1,200 steps.

2. Railay Beach Viewpoint

Railay Beach is among picturesque beaches in Thailand. The location is very beautiful lined with white sand and limestone cliffs. The place is only accessible through the beach via boat as it is cut off from the mainland. It is not possible to find any roads or cars in the area. It is the best escape when you want to disappear from anything and just live like an islander as you sample the various bars within the place. Those going up the cliffs get a spectacular view of the area although the climb can be strenuous.

3. PhraNang Cave Beach

PhraNang Cave Beach is a beautiful beach formed below majestic caves. Despite its small size, it offers a wide range of activities to sightseeing tourists including rock climbing. You will find many stalactites and tons of stalagmites which make it so scenic. The good thing about the area is that it is separated from the busy hotels making it the ideal place to venture especially for the lovers. The area is covered with well-trained climbing instructors who help the tourists get up. Others enjoy soaking up in the water but only when it is not murky.

4. Wat Kaew Ko Wararam

Wat Kaew Ko Wararam is a beautiful temple located on a hill in Krabi. The temple is surrounded by other buildings which are also accessible to the public. Since the temple is ideally situated close to where the night market takes place, it is a good stop to make before waiting for the market to commence at 5:30 pm. The temple has a lot of historical value and rich culture that is worth exploring. A strict dress code should be observed as they like you to be fully covered from shoulders to ankles. There is no entry charge so you are free to tour at your convenience.

5. Poda Island

Poda Island is a beautiful beach park that is famous for all sorts of relaxing activities such as picnicking. If you are thinking of beautiful beaches within Thailand, this should be on the list too as it features white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Tourists are advised to take private boats if they are able to as they make the trip more adventurous. Entrance to this area is not free especially visiting the national park where you pay 100 Baht. There are provisional bathrooms which are ideal for the tourists visiting.

6. Krabi Weekend Night Market

Krabi Weekend Night Market is a great place to see some of the most amazing items on sale and sample some authentic Krabi delicacies. The place is usually bustling with tourists and merchants trying to trade. If you are looking for souvenirs, this is the right place to get anything at a bargain. Apart from the trading, you can enjoy the live entertainment at the center stage which has many local performers showcasing their work. It is ideal to carry a lot of cash as there will be plenty to purchase.

7. Khao Phanom Bencha National Park

Khao Phanom Bencha National Park is a natural oasis away from the busy central area of Krabi. There are nice trails that are not so strenuous and one can easily go around as they are well marked. There are beautiful waterfalls too which are great to see. The park has plenty of interesting opportunities aside from hiking where tourists can ride around on an elephant as they go sightseeing in the park. This can be a once in a lifetime opportunity which should not be missed out while in Krabi.

8. Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot)

Emerald Pool is a beautiful natural pool situated amidst nature. The area is surrounded with lush green vegetation as well as trees that makes the emerald waters stand out. These crystal clear waters are very appealing to both the eyes and body as it is very refreshing. On a hot day, the pool tends to be swarming with tourists and locals who go there to cool off. There are small fish that nibble as they eat away dead skin from your body which is considered therapeutic. The ideal time to visit is morning hours before midday when it is not so crowded.

9. Ao Nang Snake Show

Ao Nang Snake Show is a show involving cobras mostly that takes place at the snake and monkey park. There is an instructor who seems to be interacting with king cobras as spectators watch. Various tricks are performed as he tries to calm the snakes. Tourists are allowed to get up close and even carry the snakes aside from the cobras. The whole experience is hair-raising as there are no glass barriers to tame the snakes during the show. If you love snakes or reptiles, this will be a perfect stopover while in Krabi town. Entrance is charged at 600 baht.

10. Ao Nang Mosque

Ao Nang Mosque is a beautiful mosque situated not so far from the beach. The mosque is very beautiful especially at night when it is lighting up in mesmerizing colors. It is such a rare thing to see a colorful mosque like that making it unique. The Muslims are usually called in for prayer at 5 am which is common like in many mosques around the world. The mosque itself is clean and beautiful in the inside which is a good thing. The top floor is occupied with the men while the lower floor is secluded for the women during prayers. There is no entry fee for sightseeing the mosque but proper attire should be observed as it is a place of worship.
