23. Mojiko Retro District (Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Mojiko is the sea gateway connecting Honshu and Kyushu. In the past, many foreign ships from Europe and China called at Moji, and Moji prospered through trade with other countries. The retro scenery and the atmosphere of the Taisho and Showa eras are still preserved in the many historical buildings, and take us to a nostalgic world.

24. Mount Fuushi (Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City)

25. Kyushu Railway Memorial Museum (Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City)
The Kyushu Railway Memorial Museum introduces Kyushu's first railway company, which was established in the Meiji era. 29. Solaland Hiraodai / Hiraodai Nature Village (Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City)

30. Mount Sarakura (Yahatahigashi Ward, Kitakyushu City)
"Mt. Sarakura" is one of the best night view spots in Fukuoka, where you can spend a romantic time with your lover while watching the night view.
Mt. Sarakura is about 600m above sea level. The night view from the observation deck at the summit is a location that is counted as one of the new three major night views in Japan.

31. Government-run Yahata Steel Works (Yahata Higashi-ku, Kitakyushu City)
The "Governmental Yawata Iron and Steel Works" was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2015 as one of the "Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution: Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding, and Coal Mining." Since being registered, it has become more well-known and has become a tourist attraction in Fukuoka, attracting many visitors from far away.
The facilities registered as World Heritage Sites are the former head office and related facilities. 32. Kawachi Fuji Garden (Yahatanigashi Ward, Kitakyushu City)

36. Akizuki Castle Ruins (Asakura City)
Akizuki Castle Ruins is famous as a spot to see autumn leaves in Fukuoka. The trees start to change color in early November, and the best time to see them is around late November. 37. Hikosan Shrine (Soeda Town)
Mount Hiko, the second highest mountain in Fukuoka Prefecture at 1,199m above sea level, is a sacred mountain beloved by worshippers. There are sacred sites and approaches to the mountain all around, with the Hikosan Shrine Hoheiden (offerings) located midway up the mountain and the Kamimiya (upper shrine) located at the summit.
Hikosan Shrine cannot be reached by car, so you have to climb a mountain path, but you can easily visit the shrine by using the Hikosan Slope Car, an inclined monorail. It takes about 7 minutes to get from Hana Station at the base to Kami Station, the closest station to Hikosan Shrine!

38. Star Culture Museum (Yame City)
Hoshino Village in Fukuoka Prefecture is known for its clear air. At night, the sky is filled with stars. 39. Awashima Shrine (Chikugo City)
Awashima Shrine is a small, quaint shrine tucked away in the downtown area of Chikugo City. It is a power spot in Chikugo that is known only to those in the know.

41. Kitahara Hakushu Memorial Museum (Yanagawa City)

42. Suitengu Shrine (Kurume City)

43. Chikushi Yabakei (Kakawa Town)

44. Miyajidake Shrine (Fukutsu City)
Miyajigoku Shrine is home to three of the biggest shrines in Japan. The shrine boasts the largest shimenawa (sacred rope) at 11m long and weighing 3 tons, a large bell at 3m high and weighing 450kg, and a giant drum with a diameter of 2.3m, all of which are the largest in Japan.
There is also a huge ancient tomb built at the end of the 6th century, which contains a horizontal stone chamber. 300 items have been found there, including lapis lazuli jars and glass panels. These include a head vertebrae containing gold and armor made of gilt bronze. Gold has been used since ancient times as proof that the shrine is home to a sacred god, and the roof of the main hall has now been repainted gold.
The road that stretches straight from Miyajigoku Shrine on the hill to the coast is famous throughout the country.
You can see the mysterious spectacle "Road of Light" that has been featured in a TV commercial, but due to the position of the sun setting, the best time to see it is only twice a year. It is expected to be quite crowded on that day, so be sure to check the official website in advance.

45. Munakata Taisha Shrine (Munakata City)
Munakata Taisha is located about an hour by bus from Tenjin in Fukuoka City. It is a famous power spot, and its prestige is comparable to that of other famous shrines in the prefecture.
