1. Santa Bárbara Castle

When it comes to Alicante, it’s impossible not to mention Santa Bárbara Castle! This fortress is located on Mount Benacantil, 166 meters above sea level, in Alicante. It’s such a must-see spot that it’s hard to find a tourist who visits Alicante without seeing it.
The castle’s history dates back to the 9th century when the Muslims built a fortress on the site of an ancient Carthaginian castle on the northeast side of the old town. The current structure was formed during the 16th to 18th centuries when it was restored and expanded by Catholics. The original Islamic features have now disappeared.
Walking along the beach, you'll find a tunnel leading to an elevator that takes you up to the castle. From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the sea. It’s definitely a recommended attraction you should visit!

2. Alicante Port

Alicante Port, located along the Mediterranean coast, is a popular spot for many tourists visiting Spain’s coastline.

Located on Alfonso Street in the city center, it’s easily accessible on foot from other attractions, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

8. Postiguet Beach

Alicante is a coastal city, and no visit would be complete without mentioning its beaches. Postiguet Beach is located next to the port area and is within walking distance from the city center, making it a favorite spot for tourists. Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea is truly a dream come true!
