3. Tanigawadake Ropeway

The Tanigawadake Ropeway connects Doaiguchi Station to Tenjindaira Station, covering a distance of 2,400 meters. In spring, you can see alpine plants after the snow melts; in summer, you’ll enjoy the fresh, lush greenery; in autumn, the stunning colors of the fall foliage; and in winter, the entire landscape transforms into a breathtaking silver world of snow.

4. Hourakukan
Hourakukan serves as the main information center for Michi-no-Eki Takumi no Sato. Here, you can try your hand at making soba noodles using locally produced buckwheat flour! After learning how to knead, roll out, and cut the noodles, you can enjoy eating your own handmade soba.

Taiga Glass is a glass workshop located about a 10-minute walk from Minakami Station on the Joetsu Line. At Taiga Glass, you can experience glass crafting. For beginners, the trial course is recommended, where you can make a pendant top or a hair tie. For those with experience, the tube glass course allows you to create three-dimensional glass flowers.
In the one-day course, for those who want to get serious about glass art, they offer detailed instructions, and you can create as many glass works as you like within the allotted time.
