Where to Exchange Money in Bangkok! 4 Recommended Currency Exchange Spots in the City
1. SuperRich
"SuperRich," a money exchange with branches across various BTS stations, has a location on the B1 floor of Suvarnabhumi International Airport. It's near the Airport Rail Link ticket area, and you’ll easily find it because there’s always a line. Although there are a few bank-affiliated currency exchanges on the 2nd-floor arrivals lobby, compared to SuperRich’s rates, exchanging currencies could give you a huge difference! While it might take a bit more effort, heading down to the basement for your exchange is worth it.
If SuperRich is too crowded, other nearby currency exchanges on the same floor offer similar rates. As they are all in constant competition, you won’t suffer any major losses.
2. THANIYA SPIRIT
Located conveniently near MRT Silom Station or BTS Sala Daeng Station, "THANIYA SPIRIT" is a popular exchange spot among foreign visitors. While technically a liquor shop, it has a big sign saying "Currency Exchange" right at the entrance, so you won't miss it. The staff is accustomed to serving foreign customers and usually does not require a passport unless under special circumstances, which makes the exchange process smooth and easy.
Another plus is that it’s open until 10:30 p.m., matching the liquor store’s closing time.
Name: THANIYA SPIRIT
Address: 62/7 Thaniya Rd, Suriyawong, Bang Rak, Bangkok, 10500
3. SIAM EXCHANGE
"SIAM EXCHANGE" is the most popular money exchange spot in the bustling Siam district. It’s conveniently located near the MBK Center, one of Bangkok’s largest shopping malls, making it easy to stop by before or after shopping. It operates from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily except Sundays, and closes early at 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays—so take note!
Despite its location in a busy commercial area, it offers excellent rates, making it a favorite among tourists. There aren't many good-rate exchanges in the Siam area, so this one is truly appreciated. Despite its name, the nearest station is actually National Stadium Station—not Siam Station. Be sure to bring your passport for the transaction.

4. P&P Jewelry
Did you know there’s a great exchange counter inside Bangkok’s large Siam Paragon shopping mall? Located on the north side of the 1st floor, “P&P Jewelry” is technically a jewelry store, but you’ll see “MONEY EXCHANGE” signs on both sides of the entrance. It’s super convenient for combining shopping and money exchange in one stop.
Note that due to a difference in floor labeling, the mall’s 1st floor is actually the third level. Be sure to bring your passport, though a copy is also acceptable here.

Address: Room 136 1F Siam Paragon, Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan Zone, Bangkok
◎ Summary
So, what do you think? In this guide, we shared essential currency exchange information for your Bangkok trip. Exchanging money in town is generally more favorable than at the airport and can be very convenient if done right. However, always double-check the amount when you receive it—mistakes can happen anywhere. If you catch it on the spot, they’ll usually be happy to correct it!
