Batna is an inland city located southeast of Algiers, the capital of Algeria, and it serves as the capital of Batna Province. 1. Timgad

The main feature of Timgad is the exceptional state of preservation! 2. Ghoufi

Ghoufi is considered one of the most beautiful Roman ruins in the world. Located about 60 km south of Batna in the Ghoufi Canyon, the ruins stand along the inner slopes where the river meanders, creating rows of ancient dwellings carved into the cliffside.
Besides exploring the impressive ruins, one of the true pleasures of visiting Ghoufi is taking in the dramatic panoramic view of the canyon. Situated on a low plateau of the Aurès Mountains, the main highlights of Lambaesis include the Temple of Asclepius, a triumphal arch, the remains of an amphitheater, and ancient baths. It is the closest ruin site to Batna, making it an ideal stop on your way to or from sightseeing in Timgad.
