Here Are the Top 20 Airlines in the World for 2021

One of the world's leading airline assessment bodies, AirlineRatings, has announced its annual list of the Top Twenty Airlines for 2021.

The agency uses a number of factors to aid with ranking each airline such as recent reviews from passengers, safety regulations, in-flight service and different class offerings.

Earlier in the year, AirlineRatings released a list of the top 20 safest airlines in the world for 2021 along with the best airlines for COVID-19 precautions, a factor most passengers will place high importance on this year.

COVID-19 safety precautions were also used to rank the top airlines for this year's list.

Best Airline for 2021

Qatar Airways topped the list as the best overall airline in the world for 2021, edging out Air New Zealand which has won the six previous lists. Qatar Airways also won awards for Best Business Class and Best Catering this year.

Editor-in-chief, Geoffrey Thomas remarked that the safety precautions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic from Qatar Airways was what set the airline apart from the rest and help them take the top spot. He praised the airline for their outstanding commitment to providing a safe flight experience throughout the pandemic.
