Lincoln

Lincoln is the capital city of Nebraska, named after President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is famous for its Nebraska State Capitol and the Sunken Gardens. Located in the southeastern part of Nebraska, Lincoln sits on a rolling prairie. The city's western edge lies in the Salt Creek Valley, which flows to the lower Platte River. The terrain to the west is upward sloping, thus, moist winds come and go. Humidity is generally moderate except during some summer periods with moist tropical air.

Best trip I've had in years

Hello my name is Anna. I'm from New York. I booked a ticket to Lincoln. It was a 5-hour flight, with a stopover in Minneapolis. I must say going to Lincoln was the best trip I've had in my entire life. I was able to see the Governor's Mansion, the Nebraska State Capitol, and the Memorial Stadium. I marveled at the Sunken Garden's beauty. Holmes Park & Lake has also stunning views. I enjoyed my summer there. I was lucky to have booked a ticket to Lincoln in June, when the summer weather wasn't too harsh. Next time I book a ticket to Lincoln, I'll make sure it would be on winter. So I will be able to enjoy its winter activities too.
